Attempted lunar shots with a brighter sky, with my R50 and 75-300mm lens. I tried a larger pool of images for stacking, and ended up with 243 .CR3 images. I used darktable to convert them all to .TIFFs, then fed them through AutoStakkert. After this I tried using Wavesharp, but ran into issues of grain in the brighter sky. I then took a step back and used darktables Contrast Equalizer and a mask to perform a similar task, but with better control over where the edit ended up. This time I had no issues with Chromatic Aberration, so there was no need for further editing. Here is the final image. ...

Went out and took several test shots of the moon, ISO 400, f/5.6 and at 300mm. I am using my Canon R50 with a 75-300mm f/4-5.6. I went from 1/40 through to 1/4000, before picking 1/640 to shoot at. I then took 46 photos in a burst, which I transferred to my PC, converting from .CR3 to .TIFF. I then stacked these using AutoStakkert 4, which produced a much improved image. It still had a large amount of Chromatic Aberration, which I resolved by editing in Darktable, during which I also cropped and performed several small edits to improve image quality.
